Opportunistic Search Marketing

I finally got to meet Andy Beal in person, thanks to the Gooruze Meetup at PubCon that he put together. After introducing myself, the first thing he said to me and the group that he was already chatting with was that I am one of the best opportunistic marketers that he knows.

I took that as a great compliment! I know that the term “opportunistic” often carries a negative vibe as it can be related to having a lack of or disregard for ethics, but I knew that Andy didn’t mean it that way because I knew what he was referring to when he said that… and I like to think that he meant that I am good at finding and taking advantage of circumstances that may be of benefit to me.

Anyway, I would like to take this opportunity to connect online with those I met for the first time at PubCon who may stumble across this site.

First of all, I’m sure a few may link here to SEOdisco when referring to me, but I would really appreciate links to my newer consulting site at WEBOSIS.com. Now, how’s that for opportunism?! :)

I met a lot of great people and made a lot of friends who I would love to keep in touch with until we can resume the practice of destroying our livers together at the next conference. I will do my best to connect with you folks over the next few days, but here are a few of the social networks that I am on in case you read this first:

I will be writing more about my PubCon experience sometime later, but now I’m off to a Christmas party… where more drinking is to be had… what am I thinking? :P

Holla!

@cK- It was good to meet you in person as well! After all this time of this forum and that…here’s to a great 2008 for you and webosis. Thanks for asking. I will flip the links there…no prob!

Andy’s right. And opportunism is a good thing IMO–makin’ the most of what is out there is a good thing!

@andy-i did not get to meet you in person (too many folks–too little time) , but I really enjoyed the two sessions that I saw with you on them. I look forward to meeting you at the next go ’round. Thanks for being informative and fun with your stuff…

I had an awesome time hanging out with you. Our little “Oh my God, we’re on the freeway and can’t get off” adventure was pretty fun, but it wasn’t nearly as entertaining as the Treasure Island antics. Until SMX West…
